Happy New Year, Tribe!
The Unsatisfied sincerely hope this will be a year of bliss and abundance for all and we are excited to include you in our upcoming adventures! Thank you to all the new P.O. Punks who have subscribed to our mailing list - you are appreciated! We will keep you updated on everything we do. As subscribers, you have access to News and Blogs first, before they are officially posted and sometimes you are privy to special merch and private events as well.
For starters, we have recently updated our Ephemera page with the first of our Tribe Adventure Stories (just click on the green star labeled - READ NOW), and we want everyone to read them! We have been requesting written or videoed clips of your special moments with The Unsatisfied, you know? One of those truly unbelievable tales you hear others tell about their adventures with the band; road stories! For example, I will share one of mine - short story version - about the time The Unsatisifed played a little Chattanooga club called The London Connection during a thunderstorm. The rain flooded in and soaked the carpet the band was playing on. Eric leaned in to sing with Johnny and a spark about the girth of my pinky, and at least two feet long, shot out of his nipple and hit Johnny in the back of the arm! Johnny's arm went limp as a noodle and Eric's nipple was smoking, and both of them were scorched, but they pulled it together and didn't miss a lick! Perfect birthday story to share, huh? If I hadn't been there, I would not have believed it, but it happened! There have been many amazing adventures in the history of The Unsatisfied and we want to include your story in our archives too. After you read the new submissions, please scroll down the page and read how you can add your tale to the library. Remember, all posters, pics, videos, and recordings are welcome as supportive material if you care to share them with your story. If you had a memorable experience in the company of The Unsatisfied, it makes you one of us! You are Tribe! Share it with us so we can post it on our website for others to enjoy!

We will be celebrating many things this year. Let's send good vibes and birthday wishes to Eric and Johnny first. Over the past thirty-four years, they have written and recorded over two-hundred songs and performed over two thousand shows together, shared the big silver screen and some small screen projects, created a lot of notable artwork, and received awards, accolades, and honorable mentions in hundreds of zines and online journals. Writing some of the most iconic fan-favored titles such as .44 Caliber, White Trash, Fed-Up, and Wendy Torrance. In addition to music, they have celebrated each other's lifetime moments and are considered uncles to each other's children (as are the rest of the band). While the entire band contributes to the songwriting process, Eric and Johnny simply have had more time together as a creative duo, so the numbers of songs in The Unsatisfied repertoire has grown exponentially from those initial tunes such as Rose-Tint Pauline, White, and Relationship Paranoia which has been revised three times since its inception. Over the years, their songwriting skills and instincts have strengthened exponentially as well.
In addition to Eric and Johnny's latest milestone, The Unsatisified itself has a special date to celebrate. The really big focus this year will be on the fact that this Oct 2026 will be the 40th Anniversary of The Unsatisfied! So, this is an extra important time for our favorite Punk Rock Warriors. We are planning quite a few special things to commemorate this notable achievement! The band is currently writing fresh material for a new album they will begin recording, God willing, this fall. There will also be a big show and corresponding merchandise released throughout the year. We may be doing some fundraisers and exploring creative ways to fund some of these events. The band also wants to put on some free shows and specialty events for the Tribe as appreciation for their many years of loyalty. New Tribe will be welcome as well, of course! All updates will be shared via our mailing list first, so go sign up on the website, if you haven't yet. We don't want you to miss a thing!

Something that we have started to share a little about and featured in recent Blogs is the beginning of a new Podcast on The Unsatisfied's YouTube Channel. If you haven't already, please subscribe to the channel, share our content, leave comments, and give us a thumbs-up on your favorite videos. This will help raise our numbers and the overall buzz for the new content - The Unsatisfied thank you all in advance! While we are still round-tabling names for each series, there will be two shows in addition to the release of some new videos and live footage. The first is a Podcast Eric will host along with his band mates featuring bands the world should have known that either fizzled out before they could make it, or who made a big splash only to be overlooked and dropped off the map. The Unsatisfied will interview these musicians, share their music and links, discuss what happened during their journey and where they are now. They will also Talk About their experiences and share similar situations throughout their own career and feature bands that achieved levels of success, and perhaps interview some bigger names as well that they have befriended along the way. Other points of interest on the Podcast will be insight into the southern underground music scene; the bands, the clubs, the zines, founders of the local punk scene, the challenges for local bands, the big names that rolled through the south and encountered the scene and The Unsatisfied's influences, background, and perspective from ground zero. Finally achieving success on their own terms, The Unsatisfied were often offered the world and then the rug would be yanked out from under them. But they persevered, and through that journey they encountered many great bands that were hit with tragedy and conflict which caused them to disband, or sadly, just give up. We want to give them their due. We already have a solid list of bands and musicians to feature and interview, but we want and will consider any suggestions you have. We want this to be a truly great series that everyone will benefit from.

The second series will be lighter and feature everything Behind the Scenes Unsatisfied, providing a peek behind the curtain, apart from the live shows and videos. It's basically the view from our perspective. It will include family segments, video travel journals, Tribe moments, HQ points, recording, touring, and other band activities, such as Eric's work with his alternative and gothic bands, Diamond Dogs and Jesus Lugosi, as well as the family elements, creative side-projects, and lifestyle shares of all the band members. Centered from Eric's family and Meadowood (HQ) outward, it will launch as bonus content on the channel alongside the professional uploads and will be a work in progress as we release content In Media Res. We hope it will be a fun inclusion into our daily lives and band adventures and something the Tribe will enjoy and contribute to. We want everyone from our inner circle involved in helping us grow and choosing what works to keep it entertaining for everyone. So keep it friendly but constructive and jump in there with us on the comments, folks! We are currently collecting content and doing research for first episodes of both shows, but hope to have some previews for you soon, so bear with us!

Shows, shows, and more shows! I have included a short list here of some upcoming regional and local gigs that the band have not added to the official tour roster yet, but that are already confirmed for the next couple of months. They also have a Private Party planned that will be filmed for YouTube. Shows are typically scheduled three months in advance, so I also included at least one unconfirmed date that will update as soon as it's solidified, this will be a really fun Rap and Punk Show! As the future dates currently in limbo receive solid confirmations, I will post them on the website and alert all the P.O. Punks on the mailing list. Sign up so you get first pick at event tix and news - and be sure to check out the websites and socials for our brother bands below!

Some of the bigger shows The Unsatisfied are negotiating for in 2026-27 include Dragon Con and Muddy Roots Festival - and for next year, with God's blessing, Little Steven's Underground Garage Cruise! We will be Announcing our 40th Anniversary plans and merch designs soon as well. If you are a journalist, photographer, or know a good publication we should reach out to for media support or promotion, please let us know. We would like a lot of coverage on this very important date!

On a final note, we will be releasing a few copies of both, Street Shaman & Real Gone Pale Face, into local Chattanooga record stores soon. So, if you don't have them, they will be available outside of the website on both vinyl and CD. It is also on the books to release Street Shaman and Real Gone Pale Face on a couple of select digital platforms this year. Which ones will be contingent on the limitations of our AMG and Universal Music Distribution contracts, but we will certainly make an announcement as soon as those details are worked out. If you love the sound and feel of vinyl and you want to own a piece of legendary southern gothic punk rock history, Buy RGPF on vinyl while you still can - there are very limited numbers left!
The Unsatisfied Thank You's!
Luv 'N Blood, ghouls and drools, see you soon!

COMING SOON...
One of the next Blogs we produce will be a focus on The Art of The Unsatisfied. This will be a feature piece on the graphic art on the albums, merch, and posters crafted by Johnny and myself (Lysa), as well as pieces contributing artists have gifted the band with; outstanding works which are displayed proudly here in our museum at Meadowood. It may actually need to be broken into multiple issues, we will see. There will also be more Blogs on Lyrics, updates on the Podcasts, upcoming shows, and a few special features by guest writers. So, stay in touch!
We want your feedback on this and all things The Unsatisfied. Please send us suggestions, comment on this Blog, leave a review on your favorite Unsatisfied album, or email us at theunsatisfied2020@gmail.com with whatever is on your mind. This is for you; we always value, want, and will consider your input.
THE UNSATISFIED THANK YOU, from the bottoms of our black hearts, for believing in us!
