The Unsatisfied is a punk rock band from Chattanooga, TN, renowned for their high-powered stage shows, provocative compositions, and charismatic band members. Founded in 1986 by frontman Eric Scealf and backed by lead guitarist Johnny Stockman, rhythm guitarist Wayne Shadwick, bassist Seth David, & newest member, drummer Matt Reynolds, the band has a long, notorious history that remains on an upward trajectory. The Unsatisfied began in the southern underground music scene and quickly achieved greater acclaim through the punk culture of New York/New Rock and CBGB's. Cutting their teeth in historic clubs and touring established their notoriety and connected them to their idols. Perseverance and sacrifice made them stars of the award-winning rockumentary Ambition Withdraw: Redux, which spans their work from inception to infamy. Their heavy sound, raw stage presence, and Avant-garde style have cultivated a dedicated following they affectionately refer to as their "Tribe," stretching across the U.S., Australia, and the U.K.
The Unsatisfied have created a cinematic, guitar-driven sound that is heavy, stylistic, and energetic, with focused, evocative song lyrics, articulate Tribal rhythms, and complex bass lines.
