It is our distinct pleasure to present the world with this glorious murky green vinyl manifestation! We are so excited that you are excited, Tribe, because we truly spared no expense on this 25th Anniversary Edition of Real Gone Pale Face - and it was worth every dime! We know you will agree when you get your copy, and we hope you will write a review on our Discography page and send us your pics and vids of it playing on your
turntable... we want it all! The excitement over this release is huge - thank you all! We want everyone to have this beautiful Unsatisfied collector piece. So, I am going to dedicate this month's BLOG to sharing just how to get yours - here's the rundown!

First thing to know is that we only pressed 100 of these beauties in the tradition of the original release. So, after you take a few off the top for each band member, the label, the remastering studio, AMG, and a handful for the local record stores, that number decreases to roughly 85 available for purchase. The rarity of this album makes it an automatic collectible, and the scarcity of copies makes it even more desirable. If you're like we are, this makes trying to get one that much more intriguing, and the first opportunity you will have is on Halloween night. This is the re-release date, and where you will have the best advantage of getting one. In case you missed the ads, that is Friday, October 31st - Halloween Night - at Songbird's Foundation. Doors open at 6 pm, the show starts at 7 pm, and runs till 8:30 pm. At the end of the show, you will have time to meet the band and get all your stuff signed till 9 pm. Due to Songbirds operating schedule, these times are firm, so make sure you get your stuff signed during the open windows of 6-7 or 8:30-9. ;)

Besides getting to experience The Unsatisfied in their full glory on a big stage, in a cool atmosphere, with great lights and sound, and an explosive horror-themed immersive backdrop, performing the entirety of Real Gone Pale Face live, some other tasty incentives to snag your copy at the show are:
Getting your copy signed by the band for free and getting a really cool pic of the moment! We will have metallic markers available for use at the merch table for this reason and photographers ready to preserve the moment. Also, rumor has it that the original bass player featured on Real Gone Pale Face, Damien Lawles, may be at this show. That means you might have an opportunity to get his signature on your copy as well!
An archival cover will be included with your purchase, so you do not have to worry about taking your record out of the shrink wrap for autographing. We know you want your vinyl protected - we got you covered!
Reduced pricing in celebration of this special release event! The regular price of this album will be $35 after Oct 31st, but it will be available for $30 at the show. All our audio media will be at a lower price in recognition of this event, so now will be a good time to stock up on all your favorite Unsatisfied CDs and vinyl. In addition to the RGPF CD and Vinyl, you will be able to snag Street Shaman featuring Duane Denison on vinyl ($20) and CD ($8). There are also a few copies of Songs the Belt Taught Us on CD ($10). Real Gone Pale Face on CD will only be $10. So grab 'em all!
Also, there will be a plethora of limited-edition RGPF merch available; specialty merchandise we don't routinely carry, such as Fabric Stickers, Acrylic Magnets, Holographic Stickers, Buttons - just a bunch of signature RGPF coolness! One of the best items next to the vinyl has got to be the Real Gone Pale Face Concert Ts. These are also limited edition and will make a very awesome complement to your collection!

This is the first time Real Gone Pale Face has ever been offered on vinyl, and it may be the only time we can offer it in this form. It is the only 25th Anniversary Edition. This remaster and release was no easy undertaking. It took just over 18 months to complete and have it ready to share with you. All the archived artwork had to be revitalized as it had faded over the years, and many of the digital files did not compress properly. It had to undergo particular rendering and vectorization steps to brighten it back up and prime it for modern printing processes. An entirely new Liner Notes page had to be created from scratch because the original only existed in paper formats that were just too degraded for repair. The tracks needed a little reboot, too, as they were recorded on an entirely outdated format and needed full remastering to bring them back to their original lustre. This was a good decision either way, because the songs came out brighter and crisper. The newer technology brought parts of the recordings to the surface that were a bit lost in the original pressings, pushing stronger, more nuanced versions of these great songs forward for rediscovery. The remastering studio, Black Angel Promotions, worked on these tracks surgically, carefully respecting the original vision Eric and Johnny had for this collection of songs, while amping up the parts that were initially underscored, and they did an amazing job! Andy Burke at Black Angel also conducted a very introspective interview with Eric about this release, about The Unsatisfied's AMG and Universal affiliations, and about the history of the band. The venue hosting this Halloween event is one of the premier places to play in Chattanooga. If you have never been to Songbird's museum, you are in for a treat. The staff who run it are outstanding individuals who perform their duties with professionalism and respect. The museum itself is gorgeous, and houses millions of dollars in rock and roll iconography - guitars mainly, but also costumes, vintage media, and special instruments played by some of rock and roll's most legendary performers. In addition to the museum, Songbirds is a music foundation that promotes and supports music education for young people. The organization hosts several programs that benefit children by introducing them to music, giving them a place to perform, and donating acoustic guitars to local high school music departments. All revenue generated by the Songbirds Foundation through its exhibits, concerts, and special events are directed to their Guitars for Kids program, which purchases guitars and provides free music education and music therapy services to kids across the south. Over the past several years, the Foundation has awarded over 4000 guitars to deserving students and provided over 250,000 hours of hands-on music education and in-depth cognitive music therapy. The Unsatisfied band members, Eric and Wayno in particular, feel that music saved their lives starting at a young age, so The Unsatisfied expressly appreciate all that Songbirds Foundation does to give kids access to music. COMING SOON...
Apologies for missing the September BLOG, Tribe! The past two months have been crunch time for preparations on the upcoming Halloween gig at Songbirds, and we ran short on time. The band has really worked hard promoting. They participated in three interviews, two radio drops, circulated physical flyers, created, posted, and pushed multiple ads on various social media links - and that's just the tip, folks! :))
We should be back on track next month with plenty to share on new projects and continuing licensing progress. Stay tuned!
We want your feedback on this and all things The Unsatisfied. Please send us suggestions, comment on this Blog, leave a review on your favorite Unsatisfied album, or email us at theunsatisfied2020@gmail.com with whatever is on your mind. This release is for you; we always value, want, and will consider your input.
THE UNSATISFIED THANK YOU, from the bottoms of our black hearts, for believing in us!
